Welcome back, Chris - How about a slightly blasphemous political post? Well all right.

When heaven first started turning Florida into The Day After Tomorrow, I felt a little sorry for them. But now I'm beginning to see the weather for what it is: Mother Nature's way of editorializing. Follow my logic:

On August 5th, newspapers announced that Florida's new touch screen balloting system was flawed, setting the stage for more voter disenfranchisement in November. In the week that followed, Democrats cried foul while Republicans told them they were worrying for nothing (after all, flyers had already been dispatched to Republican voters telling them to vote absentee to make their votes count). AUGUST 15th: HURRICANE CHARLEY HITS

From August 31st to September 2nd, the Republicans held their national convention in New York City and saw a measurable rise in Florida polls following speeches from noted conservatives such as Dick Cheney and Zell Miller. SEPTEMBER 4th: HURRICANE FRANCES HITS

Finally, on September 13th, newspapers announced that Florida has okayed Ralph Nader's name on the November ballot despite pending, legitimate legal protests. MAKE WAY FOR HURRICANE IVAN

Conservative Florida, do yourselves a favor... sit down in one of those air conditioned Red Cross shelters, clear your heads and think about this: What if the people of Gomorrah thought they were just unlucky, too?

While you're at it, confession is good for the soul!
